What it does

PDFs with the layout keptLeft: the original page. Right: the same page with every text block replaced by its translation in the same place, so tables, charts and pictures stay where they were. Save both as one PDF.
Subtitles in syncEach translated line keeps the exact start and end time of its original line. Download .srt or .vtt with both lines, or the translation only. In the extension, videos that carry a subtitle track show both lines while they play.
Web pages, paragraph by paragraphThe extension puts the translation under each paragraph, in the page's own font and layout. It starts with what is on screen, follows new content, and skips code, menus and buttons. One click puts the page back.
A library on your deviceEvery PDF you translate is kept in your browser and reopens instantly, already translated — no second wait, no second count against the free pages.

Questions

Is my document sent anywhere?

No. The translation engine (Mozilla's open-source Bergamot engine and its open models) runs inside your browser. The only download is the engine for a language pair, once; your text never leaves your device. A Pro key is checked against our server with the key only.

Which languages?

English, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese, in every direction (for example German → Japanese goes through English inside your browser).

Why is the first translation slower?

The first time you use a language pair, its engine (31–60 MB) downloads once and is kept by your browser. After that, translation starts right away and works offline.

What does "layout kept" mean for PDFs?

The translated page is the original page with each text block painted over and filled with its translation, shrunk to fit the same box. Pictures, tables, colours and page breaks stay. Scanned pages without text are shown as they are.

Which browsers?

The extension is for Firefox and Microsoft Edge. This web page works in any modern browser, including Chrome and Safari, for PDFs, subtitle files and text.

How do I cancel Pro?

In your Whop account, at any time; Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Your PDF library stays on your device either way.
