NCSBN Nurse Licensure Compact map (nursecompact.com/files/NLC_Map.pdf, file dated 2026-08-05): 43 jurisdictions have enacted the compact. Alaska, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Oregon and the District of Columbia are outside the compact. If you move your residence to another compact state, you must apply for a license there within 60 days.
