Turn the PNG into a brush
- Photoshop: File > Open the PNG, then Edit > Define Brush Preset... Dark pixels paint, white stays empty. For a lock stamp, try Spacing 25-100% and Scatter 0-40%.
- Procreate: Brushes > + > Shape > Shape Source > Edit > Import > Import a file, then switch on Invert shape (Procreate paints with white).
- Clip Studio Paint: open the PNG, select all, Edit > Register Material > Image, tick Use for brush tip shape.
- Krita: Brush Editor > Brush Tip > Predefined > Import.
Menu names change with app version and interface language; these are the English names in 2026. This is a PNG stamp, not an .abr or .brushset file, so brush settings are not saved inside it and the steps above set them. The PNG stays at 2048 px, so you can erase, warp or re-define it at any size, or drop it on a layer as a texture (Multiply for dark hair, Screen for highlights).
