Full version - $28 once: all 216 .mid files (18 basslines x 12 minor keys) Get the pack

Free here: all 18 basslines on screen and in your speakers, in any key, and the UK garage 2-step skip bassline as a .mid download. The pack is the files themselves, named by style, key and BPM, for your DAW browser. Free one-key MIDI packs leave the transposing to you; in this pack every key is already placed with the root between E1 and Eb2. A rival bassline MIDI pack on this shelf sells at $28 (our shelf measurement, 2026-10-01).

Get a .mid into your DAW

  1. Drag the .mid onto a MIDI / instrument track (Ableton, FL Studio, Logic, Reaper, Cubase, Bitwig).
  2. Load an instrument on that track - 808, sub bass, log drum. Without one the track is silent.
  3. Keep your project tempo and key; say no if the DAW offers to import the file's tempo.

MIDI is note data, not sound: the tone comes from your own instrument, so the same file sounds different in every DAW. Menu names differ by DAW version and language. Drill slides need a mono synth with glide / legato on.

Bassline MIDI Pack: UK Garage, UK Drill, Amapiano, Reggaeton, Afro House, Baile Funk in all 12 keys

A bassline MIDI pack usually arrives in one key. You open it, your song is in F minor, the file is in A minor, and you start dragging notes in the piano roll. Shift the whole line down four semitones and it works. Shift it up eight and the root lands an octave higher than a bass should sit. That is the job this pack takes off your desk.

The pack holds 216 .mid files: 18 basslines in six styles, each written out in all 12 minor keys. The six styles are UK garage, UK drill, amapiano, reggaeton, Afro house and baile funk. Each file is 2 bars, one track, 480 ticks per quarter note, with the tempo written into the file: 132 BPM for UK garage, 142 for drill, 113 for amapiano, 95 for reggaeton, 122 for Afro house and 130 for baile funk.

The register rule is the point. In every key the root note sits between E1 and Eb2. E minor starts on E1, the lowest root in the pack. Eb minor starts on Eb2, the highest. Every other key falls between. Across all 216 files the lowest note is E1 (MIDI 28) and the highest is A#3 (MIDI 58), measured by reading every file back.

Take one example. UK garage, the 2-step skip bassline, F minor, 132 BPM. The root is F1 (MIDI 29), the line runs from F1 to F2, and it has 12 notes over 2 bars. At 132 BPM those 2 bars last 3.64 seconds. Change the key to A minor and the root moves to A1 (MIDI 33). Change the tempo to 140 BPM and the same loop lasts 3.43 seconds.

The drill files work differently. The next note starts one 16th before the previous note ends. That overlap is what makes an 808 glide, but only on an instrument set to mono with glide, portamento or legato switched on. On a polyphonic patch you hear two notes at once. Drill 02 also uses the flat second, the half-step above the root that gives drill its tension.

Reggaeton follows the dembow: three, three, two in sixteenths, the same tresillo shape as the snare. One of the three reggaeton lines walks i, VI, III, VII across 2 bars, the progression a lot of perreo sits on. Amapiano lines are short, pitched hits meant for a log drum patch. The baile funk lines follow the tamborzao pattern.

Getting a file into your DAW takes three steps. Drag the .mid onto a MIDI or instrument track in Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, Reaper, Cubase or Bitwig. Load an instrument on that track, such as an 808, a sub bass or a log drum; without one the track stays silent. Keep your project tempo, and say no if the DAW offers to import the tempo from the file.

MIDI is not sound. It is note data: pitch, start, length and velocity. The tone comes from your own instrument, so the same file sounds different in every DAW and in every patch. Menu names also differ between DAW versions and UI languages.

What is free. The web page shows all 18 basslines in your key and at your BPM, note by note, with the note name, the position in the bar, the length and the velocity. A play button sounds the 2 bars in the browser. The UK garage 2-step skip bassline downloads free as a .mid in any of the 12 keys and at your own tempo, and that download is byte-for-byte the same file as the one in the pack.

What the pack adds. The other 204 files, already written, named by style, number, pattern, key and BPM, so you browse them from the DAW sidebar without a web page open. The price is $28 once, no subscription. A rival bassline MIDI pack on this shelf sells at $28 (our shelf measurement, 2026-10-01).

If your song is in a major key, use the relative minor: C major takes the A minor file, G major takes the E minor file.

Questions people ask

What is in the bassline MIDI pack?

216 .mid files: 18 basslines in 6 styles (UK garage, UK drill, amapiano, reggaeton, Afro house, baile funk), each in all 12 minor keys. Every file is 2 bars with the tempo written in and a file name that says style, key and BPM.

Who is it for?

Beatmakers who already have a drum loop and a key and need a bass part that fits the style - UK garage at 132 BPM, drill at 142, amapiano at 113, reggaeton at 95, Afro house at 122, baile funk at 130 - in Ableton, FL Studio, Logic, Reaper or Cubase.

Why not take a free bassline MIDI and transpose it?

Most free files come in one key. Shifting them in the piano roll moves the whole line, so a few keys up the root lands above the bass register or a few keys down it drops into sub rumble. Here the root of every file sits between E1 and Eb2.

What can I use free?

The page shows all 18 basslines in your key and BPM, note by note with note name, step and length, and plays them in the browser. The UK garage 2-step skip bassline downloads free as a .mid in any key. The other 17 x 12 files are the paid pack.

What does it cost compared with the alternatives?

$28 once, no subscription, for all 216 files. A rival bassline MIDI pack on this shelf sells at $28 (our shelf measurement, 2026-10-01). You hear every line in your own key on this page before you pay.
