Cancel rules that decide the date
- Bought in the iPhone or iPad app: Apple bills it, so cancel in Apple settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Apple says a subscription renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Cancelling on the tool's website does not stop an Apple charge.
- Bought in the Android app: Google Play bills it. Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Cancel. Uninstalling the app does not cancel it.
- Monthly plans renew on the same day of the month; when a month is shorter, the renewal moves to its last day (the rule Stripe, which bills for many AI tools, documents). A plan started on the 31st renews April 30, then May 31. A free period charges the full price on the day it ends.
- "Cancel by" here is one day before the charge date, which also meets Apple's 24-hour rule.
