Menu names can differ between versions — if a step looks different, look for “Performance”, “Trades”, “History” or “Export”.
Open Reports and the Performance tab, choose the date range and download it as CSV. The file has the columns buyPrice, sellPrice, pnl, boughtTimestamp, soldTimestamp. Its P&L is before commissions — type your round-turn fee in “Fee per trade”.
Control Center → New → Trade Performance → pick the account and dates → Generate → open the Trades tab → right-click the grid → Export (CSV). The journal checks whether “Profit” is before or after commission against “Cum. net profit” and uses the right one.
Strategy Tester (or the paper trading panel) → List of trades → the export / download button. Entry and exit rows are joined into one trade; the strategy signal name becomes the setup.
Terminal → History (Account History) → right-click → Report or Save as Report. Open the report in a spreadsheet and save it as CSV with the columns Time, Symbol, Type, Volume, Price, Time, Price, Commission, Swap, Profit. Balance and deposit rows are skipped.
Any CSV with one row per closed trade and at least a close date and a net P&L column. If the journal does not recognise the columns, it asks you to pick them once.
Open the journal and import the file
Tradovate (Performance report CSV), NinjaTrader 8 (Trade Performance → Trades, exported as CSV), TradingView (Strategy Tester or paper trading “List of trades” export), MetaTrader 4/5 history saved as CSV, and any spreadsheet with a close date and a P&L column — you pick the columns once.
No. The file is read by your browser and the numbers are computed on your device. The free report is not stored anywhere; Pro saves your journal in this browser’s storage, and you can export it as CSV at any time.
On closed trades, in time order inside each calendar day (your computer’s time zone): the lowest running P&L of the day is compared with the limit you type. Firms that count open (unrealised) P&L or a different trading day can hit the limit earlier than this check shows.
Any firm, because you type that firm’s numbers: account size, max drawdown and whether it trails on end-of-day balance, intraday, or is static, whether it locks at the starting balance, the profit target and the consistency percentage. We do not claim any firm’s rules for you — check its rules page.
No. It is a journal: it adds up the trades you already made and compares them with limits you set. It gives no signals, no trade ideas and no recommendations.
