On 2026-10-22 only Seattle had posted its 2027 rate. Until a city posts, a worker there is checked against the city's 2026 rate (the 2027 rate will be at least that) and marked CITY RATE PENDING. Type a posted 2027 rate here and every worker in that city is checked against it.

Tips and service charges never count toward the Washington minimum wage. A salaried worker under the exempt salary needs a raise, or overtime for hours past 40 a week. Not legal advice: WA L&I and your city have the last word.

Pro keeps this ready for the payroll run and for next year: saved rosters for every business or location, the payroll CSV with each worker's new rate, a printable pay change notice for every raised worker in English or Spanish, and the 2028 roll-forward (type L&I's 2028 rate when it is posted by 2027-09-30 and every floor, exempt salary and cost updates). $49 per year or $7.99 per month.

The 2027 rules this check uses

State. $17.73 an hour from 2027-01-01 (2026: $17.13). Ages 14-15: 85 %, $15.07. Ages 16 and 17 get the full rate.

Overtime-exempt salary. 2.25 times the weekly minimum for employers with 1-50 employees ($1,595.70 a week, $82,976.40 a year), 2.5 times for 51+ ($1,773.00 a week, $92,196.00 a year). Computer professionals paid hourly: 3.5 times, $62.06.

Cities. Seattle $22.14 for every employer size. Bellingham, Burien, Everett, unincorporated King County, Renton, SeaTac and Tukwila set their own rates and employer-size rules; their 2026 rates are built in and their 2027 rates are typed in section 3 once posted.

Tips. Washington does not allow a tip credit: tips and service charges are paid on top and never count toward the minimum wage.
