2027 minimum wage raise check: which of your workers need a raise, by state and city, and what it costs you

2027 minimum wage for every state, DC and 66 city and county rates, each dated from the official page (read 2026-10-25). Enter your staff: see who needs a raise, by which date, and what it costs you in 2027. Runs in your browser.

  • Each worker checked, not just a rate table. Pick the state and city each person works in. Their pay is compared with every 2027 step that applies — state, city or county, tipped cash wage, under-18 rate, exempt salary — and you see who needs a raise, by which date, the new rate and the 2027 cost. Payroll software pays whatever rate you typed in.
  • Every date, not only January 1. All 50 states and DC plus 66 city and county rates, each with its effective date (Jan 1, Jul 1, Sep 30) and the day we read the official page. A 2027 rate that is not published yet says so — it is never guessed.
  • Every month (Pro): more 2027 rates are published through December and cities change again on July 1. Your saved staff lists re-check against the updated table and show what changed since your last visit; the calendar file reminds you 14 days before each change.
  • No account. Your staff list stays in this browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Questions

What happens if I miss a minimum wage increase?

You owe each worker the difference for every hour since the new rate started (back pay), and state law can add penalties and interest. Payroll software keeps paying the rate you typed until you change it.

Which rate applies when the state, the city and the federal rate differ?

The highest one that covers the worker. This check takes the highest of the federal, state and city or county rate for each worker's workplace on each date.

Tipped workers?

Where the state or city allows a tip credit, the cash wage floor is shown; tips must still bring the worker to the full minimum, or you pay the difference. Where no tip credit is allowed (for example California, Washington, Minnesota), tipped workers get the full minimum.

Salaried staff?

A salaried worker is overtime-exempt only if the salary is at least the threshold: federal $684 a week, higher in some states (for example California, New York, Washington, Colorado). Below it, raise the salary or pay overtime.

Where does my data go?

Nowhere. Names and pay stay in this browser's storage and are never sent. The page counts anonymous page views (address and language only), and the licence check sends only the key you typed.

Is this legal advice?

No. It applies the published rates from the official pages listed in the table, each with the date we read it. Special rules (hotel, airport, health care, fast food, farm work, training wages, union contracts) are not all covered; check the source link for your case.
