Nine jurisdictions, each with its own unit Virginia, Washington, California, Colorado, Illinois, New Jersey, Maryland, Massachusetts and New York City each price a missing pay range differently: Washington and Maryland charge per affected applicant, the rest per posting, and NYC caps the whole cumulative violation at $250,000.
In force on your go-live date Compares the posting's go-live date against the statute's start date, so a Virginia ad dated before 2026-07-01 is not scored as a violation and one dated after it is.
Employee-count threshold per state Colorado, Virginia and Maryland cover every private employer; Illinois, Washington and California start at 15, New Jersey at 10, Massachusetts at 25, NYC at 4. The tool answers covered or not covered for your headcount.
First violation versus repeat Massachusetts is a written warning first and up to $25,000 for a repeat; California runs $100 to $10,000; Virginia $1,000 then $5,000. The repeat checkbox switches the rate.
Dollar exposure for the batch Multiplies the per-unit rate by postings, and by applicants per posting where the state counts applicants, then applies the NYC cumulative cap.
CSV register and go-live reminders The full version exports the scored batch as a .csv audit register and schedules 30-day, 14-day and 1-day reminders before the go-live date you entered.
