Article 7 band picker
Sorts the flight into the €250 / €400 / €600 band and applies the intra-EU rule that caps every intra-EU flight over 1,500 km at €400, whatever the distance.

Article 7(2) halving test
Halves the amount only when re-routing was accepted and the arrival delay stayed under 2 h, 3 h or 4 h for that band — the step hand calculations and chatbots apply to the wrong band.

National filing deadline, printed as a date
Regulation 261/2004 sets no time limit at all: the window is national law and runs from 1 to 10 years (source: europa.eu Your Europe air passenger rights, plus the country tables at flight-delayed.com and skyrefund.com; Germany counts 3 years to 31 December of the third year). You get a date, not a vague window.

Agency cut beside your net
Puts the no-win-no-fee commission next to what is left: AirHelp 35% of the recovery, 50% if it goes to court; Flightright 20-30% plus VAT. The percentage is an input so you can check the quote you were actually given.

Whole booking, not one seat
