Date the guarantee tail this repair adds

Two lawful readings of the same sentence land 48 days apart. This dates both and tells you which one to reserve against.

Base liability period ends—
Does this repair trigger the extension—
Tail end, Recital 40 reading (added to the remaining period)—
Tail end, repair-completion reading—
Days between the two readings—days
Repair form terms bind you until—
Guarantee-months your book gains per year—months
Tail cost per year at your own inputs—EUR
Both lawful readings of the 12-month extension
Recital 40 says the extension is added to the remaining liability period, so the tail runs from the original end date. Much published guidance counts 12 months from repair completion instead. The tool dates both and shows the gap in days.
Your country's base period, not a flat two years
Directive 2019/771 sets a two-year floor, but Spain, Portugal and Sweden run three years, Ireland six under the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act, and the Netherlands and Finland judge expected lifespan. Pick the one you sell under.
The 30-day binding window on the repair form
Article 4 makes the European Repair Information Form free of charge and holds the repairer to its terms for 30 calendar days. The tool dates the last day that quote binds you.
Guarantee-months and money the tail adds each year
Multiplies your own repair volume, your own average repair cost and your own repeat-failure rate into the extra liability you have to carry. No industry averages are assumed.
Second-hand floor
Article 10(6) of Directive 2019/771 lets Member States allow a shorter agreed period for second-hand goods, never below one year. One checkbox applies that floor.
