The 512(c) safe harbor shields a host from these damages only if it has a designated agent registered with the U.S. Copyright Office and removes the material expeditiously once a valid notice arrives.
17 U.S.C. 512(g)(2)(C): not less than 10, nor more than 14, business days after you receive the counter notice, unless the complainant tells you they filed suit. The statute does not define "business day"; pick the rule your counsel uses.
One payment, no subscription. For comparison: Gravity Forms, a general form builder, costs $59 to $259 per year (gravityforms.com/pricing, September 2026) and ships no DMCA notice fields. Registering your designated agent at dmca.copyright.gov costs $6 and expires after 3 years unless renewed (37 CFR 201.38).
One shortcode, [dmca-takedown-notice-form], shows a 9-field notice form that asks for all 6 elements: exact URL, the work, full legal name as electronic signature, email, phone, postal address, owner or authorized agent, the good-faith statement and the statement under penalty of perjury. Your designated agent, registration number, handling statement and the 512(f) warning on false claims appear above it. Every notice is listed in WordPress admin, 50 per page.
The paid version adds what you need once notices start arriving: a receipt emailed to each complainant, the notice emailed to your agent, a CSV of every notice with date and time, search by URL to spot repeat infringers, and a separate form per section.
InstallMenu names can differ slightly by WordPress version and admin language. Needs PHP 7.4 or newer; WordPress refuses the install on older PHP. No other plugin is required.
