Debt Snowball Spreadsheet
See the month you will be debt-free. Type your debts once, pick Snowball or Avalanche, add what you can pay extra — the planner shows the pay-off order, the month each debt is gone, the interest you pay and how much interest and how many months you save compared with paying only the minimums.

- Debt_Payoff_Planner_Example.xlsx

In the example file (5 debts, 200 extra a month) the plan is debt-free in 28 months instead of 58 and saves 3,090.52 in interest. Your numbers, your result.
WHAT BUYERS OF DEBT SPREADSHEETS ASKED FOR — INCLUDED
- Change the extra payment for one month only (a bonus, a tight month) — the whole plan updates
- Check off each payment in a monthly tracker and record what you actually paid
- Payoff dates and interest that add up — every formula was recalculated and checked against an independent calculation before upload
- Switch Snowball ↔ Avalanche and compare in one click
- A warning when a minimum payment is lower than the monthly interest

HOW IT WORKS
- Type up to 10 debts: balance, APR, minimum payment
- Choose Snowball (smallest balance first) or Avalanche (highest APR first)
- Type your monthly extra — when a debt is paid off, its minimum rolls into the next one
- Read your debt-free date and tick off each month
FORMAT
- .xlsx spreadsheet — opens in Microsoft Excel (desktop, web, Mac), Google Sheets (upload the file to Google Drive and open it with Google Sheets) and LibreOffice Calc.
- Nothing is locked: no sheet passwords, no macros. Light-blue cells are for typing, white cells calculate.
Interest is estimated monthly (balance × APR ÷ 12), the way most statements show it; a lender that charges daily interest can differ by a few cents. This is a planning tool, not financial advice.
