Why one free preset is not enough

A free preset is one look made for someone else's light; this pack is sorted by the light your photo was taken in. A look made for golden hour turns a room lit by yellow bulbs even more orange; a cool look turns a shade portrait blue. Pick by light, not by taste.

What the .xmp changes: Exposure, Contrast, Saturation and an incremental White Balance shift. The white-balance shift applies to JPEG and HEIC photos; on raw files (DNG, Apple ProRAW) only exposure, contrast and saturation apply. This page is a close preview; Lightroom renders with its own engine.

How to install in Lightroom mobile (menu names change with app version and language)

  1. Unzip the download first — Adobe's help page says the app imports .xmp files, not a .zip.
  2. Open any photo ▸ Presets ▸ Yours ▸ options menu (…) ▸ Import Presets, then select the 22 files in the xmp folder.
  3. Lightroom Classic: Develop ▸ Presets panel ▸ + ▸ Import Presets… (Lightroom 7.3 and later use .xmp; older versions used .lrtemplate). With an Adobe ID and a subscription, desktop presets sync to the phone.

Questions

What do these mobile Lightroom presets do?

They are 44 files: 22 Lightroom presets in .xmp and 22 matching .cube LUTs, one per lighting situation a phone photo is usually taken in: golden hour, overcast, shade, window light, yellow bulbs, tube lights, noon sun, neon, restaurant, beach, snow, food, product, portrait and black-and-white. You install them in 3 steps and apply the matching look to any photo in one tap.

Who are they for?

Creators, small shop owners and social media managers who shoot on an iPhone or Android phone and edit in the Lightroom mobile app. If your photos come out orange under bulbs, green under shop lights or flat on grey days, each of those cases has its own preset named after the light.

Why not use a free preset or the built-in filters?

A free preset is one look built for someone else's light, so it turns a tungsten room orange and a shade portrait blue. Phone filters do not travel into Lightroom. This pack is sorted by the light your photo was taken in, so you pick by the scene instead of trying looks until one sticks.

What can I do for free on this page?

Load your own phone photo, see all 22 looks applied to it in the browser, and save the edited photo as a PNG. Nothing is uploaded; the photo stays on your device. The paid files are what make the same looks live inside Lightroom mobile for every future photo.

Worked example

Real numbers from this tool, line by line.

Orange indoor skin, fixed in one tap: for creators and small shops shooting on an iPhone or Android, the Tungsten Cool Fix preset takes an orange skin pixel shot under yellow bulbs from 0.80/0.55/0.35 to 0.847/0.640/0.459 (RGB, 0 to 1). The red-to-blue ratio drops from 2.29 to 1.85. Put the same pixel through Golden Hour Glow and it goes to 0.972/0.589/0.317: warmer still.

Why one look does not fit every phone photo

Most mobile Lightroom presets are one look, made for the light their author shot in. Your phone does not shoot in one light. A cafe at night is lit by yellow bulbs. A shop is lit by tube lights that pull skin toward green. A grey day comes out flat. A pack built around golden hour pushes all three further in the wrong direction.

We measured it with the same maths the .cube files use. Take a green-tinted pixel from a tube-lit shop, 0.62/0.70/0.55. Fluorescent Green Fix brings it to 0.703/0.756/0.647, and the gap between green and red shrinks from 0.08 to 0.053. Tungsten Cool Fix on the same pixel gives 0.674/0.817/0.714, and the gap widens to 0.143. A flat grey-sky pixel, 0.55/0.56/0.58, becomes 0.776/0.748/0.747 with Overcast Lift: brighter and slightly warmer. Harsh Noon Tame takes it down to 0.443/0.453/0.468, because that preset is built to pull back midday sun. The light decides which preset is right.

What is in the pack

Fourteen looks are named after a light (golden hour, overcast, shade, window, bulbs, tube lights, noon, neon, restaurant, beach, snow, food, product, portrait); eight are feed styles, including two black-and-white.

What the .xmp actually changes

Each preset sets Exposure, Contrast, Saturation and an incremental White Balance shift. The white-balance shift works on JPEG and HEIC, which is what a phone camera saves by default. On raw files (DNG, Apple ProRAW), exposure, contrast and saturation still apply, but the Temp/Tint shift does not.

Install in 3 steps

Unzip first (Adobe says the app imports .xmp files, not a .zip). In Lightroom mobile open a photo, then Presets, Yours, the options menu, Import Presets. Pick the 22 .xmp files. Menu names vary by version.

Free first, on your own photo

The free page loads your own phone photo, applies all 22 looks in your browser and lets you save the edited photo as a PNG. Nothing is uploaded. Choose where the photo was shot (yellow bulbs, tube lights, grey sky, neon, food from above) and the matching preset is selected for you. The paid files put the same looks inside Lightroom mobile, so every future photo gets its look in one tap. You pay once. It is not a subscription.
