ReadyStack software licence

This licence covers every ReadyStack linter, checker and calculator, in every form we ship it: VS Code and Open VSX extensions, JetBrains plugins, Chrome, Edge and Firefox extensions, npm and PyPI packages, Docker images, the MCP server and the tools on getreadystack.com. It is a proprietary licence. The source is published so you can review what runs on your machine; publishing it does not grant rights beyond the ones below.

1. Free scope

Checking the file you have open, and the online check on each product page, is free for any use, personal or commercial, with no registration. Each product page says exactly which check is in the free scope.

2. Paid scope

Whole-workspace and whole-folder scans, report files (HTML, PDF, CSV, JSON, SARIF), CI mode and other features marked as paid require a licence key.

• Personal key: one product, one seat.
• Team key: every ReadyStack linter, 5 seats. For more seats, a quote or a purchase order, write to [email protected].

Keys are issued at purchase by our payment providers (Polar, merchant of record, or Whop). The software checks the key with the provider and caches the result locally for up to 30 days, so it keeps working offline. It sends only the key and the product name for that check, never your files.

3. What you may not do

• Resell, re-host, sublicense or bundle the software or its rule sets.
• Remove, bypass or disable the licence check, or distribute a copy that does.
• Claim authorship of the software or the rule sets.

You may use the output (findings, reports) however you like, including in client work.

4. No warranty, not legal advice

The software and rule sets are provided as is. Findings are advisory: they point at text and fields that commonly fail a rule, with the source of the rule, and do not constitute legal advice. You remain responsible for your filings and releases.

5. Purchases

Purchases, invoices and VAT are handled by the payment provider. Questions about an order go to [email protected] or a reply to your receipt; see the Terms for how purchases are handled.

6. Changes and contact

We may update this licence; the version in force when you bought a key keeps applying to that key. Contact: [email protected].
