What does E-Invoice Lint actually do?

It reads the XRechnung (UBL) or ZUGFeRD (CII) invoice XML open in your editor and marks every line that carries a value the receiver will reject: a decimal comma in an amount, a date in the wrong syntax, an XRechnung 2.x profile identifier, a unit written as a word. Each finding names the line, the business term and the correction.

Who is it for?

ERP and integration developers who generate invoices for German buyers: the person wiring XRechnung 3.0.2 or ZUGFeRD 2.3.3 output into SAP, Odoo, Lexware, a shop system or a homegrown billing service. If you have ever pasted an invoice into a browser validator to find out why the portal refused it, this replaces that trip.

Why not just use a free online validator?

A browser validator means uploading a real invoice - buyer name, address, tax number, prices - to someone else's server, and the free tiers are metered. The official KoSIT validator is free but is a Java tool with Schematron configuration, run per file, outside your editor. This runs locally and sends nothing anywhere.
